Chieko began her career in Tokyo, Japan, where she attended hair school before launching her professional career at a French salon in the city. That early experience helped shape a technical foundation influenced by both Japanese precision and European hairdressing.
After moving to New York City 20 years ago, Chieko continued to build her career as a master stylist and colorist, working with clients in both New York and Aspen. Her years behind the chair have given her a versatile approach to cut, color, texture, and overall hair health.
Chieko especially loves providing end-to-end services, taking a client’s look from consultation through cut, color, and finish. She is also experienced in keratin treatments, allowing her to create customized results based on each client’s hair texture, lifestyle, and individual style.
For Chieko, the best hair is considered but never overworked—beautifully executed, wearable, and designed for the person sitting in her chair.
