Located in the New York's Soho neighborhood, Laicale Salon is the only US outpost of a boutique mini-chain that includes sister spots in Italy and Japan.
The salon's excellent colorists and cutters often work on fashion shoots, runway shows and celebrity clients, but despite its cutting-edge style, the place has a relaxed, down-to-earth feel, and is a favorite with clients from all walks of life. In keeping with that welcoming vibe, Laicale's house line of hair products have been designed to be user-friendly, too—they're created by professionals, but made for use in our bathrooms.
After a lengthy testing process, the salon recently launched a slew of targeted new treatment and styling products, a number of which are perfect for use on slightly-stressed summertime hair. The Amazon Relief Shampoo is a sulfate- and paraben-free formula that cleanses without striping natural moisture (it contains Amazon nut oils to leave hair shiny and smooth), while the Amazon Remedy Smoothing Conditioner has time-release conditioning agents to fight frizz all day long; both items contain a special Heatwave Technology to protect hair from heat styling and a Strand Guard Complex to ward off free radicals.
Also new is the Homme line, which, though it's billed as a guy's range, is already a hit with both sexes. The Homme Cleanser and Invigorating Conditioner have red tea, pomegranate, Vitamins A, C and E, spearmint, and eucalyptus to simulate the scalp, get rid of sebum deposits, and help hair look healthier (and thicker), while the 3-in-1 Shampoo is a travel- and gym bag-friendly all-in-one cleanser, conditioner and detangler packed with wheat protein and volumizing Provitamin B5.
